So, you think you know Maths?

Let’s test the brain power of you guys. Below are 4 equations, each relatively hard. If you can get all four right, I’ll, err, umm, well, I’ll sort out a prize.
(Find answer)
(Find ‘?’)
(Find ‘X’)
(Find ‘?’)
Don’t forget to read Legoless’ Poptropica Post Update, and Halloween Post
**UPDATE**
Since no-one believes 3 is possible, I’m adding a 5th question, which will replace 3. It’s quite an easy question, and only needs about 3 calculations to work out:

Find ‘C’

I’m pretty sure that you either copied this out of an A-Level maths book, copypasted from wikipedia or mashed the keyboard. I’d like you to tell me the answer. >_>
4.
Jamie McElwain | November 8, 2009 at 6:49 pm
I made ‘em in Google Docs. And yes, they are out of an A Level maths book.

ginny :] | November 10, 2009 at 10:58 am
cannot be 49!! because 8 to the power of 0 is 0 so if you times it by anything then it will be 0.
im guessing though. ive never been good at maths
11.
Yellow Crown | November 11, 2009 at 1:13 pm
nope, 8 to the power of 0 is 1!
12.
legoless | November 14, 2009 at 5:55 pm
The answer to question 4 is 49 because:
7 to the power of 2 is 49.
Anything to the power of 0 is 1.
1*49=49
13.
Ginny's iPod | November 14, 2009 at 10:17 pm
yes well, i was assuming that 8 to the power of 0 would be 0 but im not THAT smart.

Just for the record, 3 cant be answered. 1792 to any power cannot equal said power.
legoless: Maybe a decimal power? Wouldn’t that divide it?…
25.
legoless | November 13, 2009 at 11:34 pm
I bet these are all impossible and Jamie just posted them to screw with us. >.<
26.
009lvlnomed | November 14, 2009 at 12:43 am

3 is impossible. I think…….
28.
Jamie McElwain | November 14, 2009 at 8:05 pm
3 is possible. I’m putting up an answers post on Tuesday – If anyone can work out three by then, they get the prize, since 1, 2 and 4 have already been worked out
29.
legoless | November 14, 2009 at 8:56 pm
Will Yellow Crown and Geoge Lee get a prize as well?
30.
legoless | November 14, 2009 at 9:01 pm
THE ANSWER TO NUMBER THREE IS 4.785 HA!
31.
legoless | November 14, 2009 at 9:14 pm
Fail. You gave the wrong formula for 3. It should have been:
x= (56*32) to the power of 1/x
Because the one you have up there is impossible. If you do it out like you have above it gives you a massive decimal number. (1792 to the power of 785 gives little calculators nightmares for life. Even the first part to the power of 4 is huge.)
32.
Laura | November 14, 2009 at 10:15 pm
-name removed- is THE biggest ” Lets All Rape -name removed-” nut in the history of the world…..ew….
legoless: They make such a lovely couple, don’t they?
33.
Laura | November 15, 2009 at 4:06 pm
ew ….-name removed- is the biggest nomadiac faggot in the world!!!!!
legoless: But it’s fun when he starts correcting the teacher over minute details in class and then gets it screwed up. “EMMM, you left out the I in enormous. You left out the I in enormous. You left out the I in enormous… You left out the I in enormous.”

40.
madaco | November 17, 2009 at 3:09 am
the answer to the original # 3 is at http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=x%3D(56*32)^x
wolfram alpha rocks
legoless: That sum isn’t natural.
41.
madaco | November 17, 2009 at 3:21 am
I know theres a function that solves #3 but cant find it
is it log(1793)
42.
ginny :] | November 18, 2009 at 8:14 am
you cant work out the fifth one unless you tell us what the whole thing adds up to first.
again, im not the brightest spark in the shed so do not harm me…
