New Newspaper & Other Stuff
The new newspaper came out today.
There’s gonna be a party for the completion of the Migrator. It’s on April 25th.
The first player-written artile came out today too. It’s not the best article ever, I bet some people would have done a better job.
There’s also another one of those personal ads. I don’t really know what they’re advertising though. Here’s mine:
Also, someone has messed up the clocks in Club Penguin. I have a shrewd idea it was Herbert.
The clock tower’s target is missing, & it’s gone crazy. Here are a few pictures.

Rockhopper is also in the telescope. It looks like he got a new speed boat engine. The flares must have attracted him.

There’s also gonna be a garden option available for your igloo tomorrow. The newspaper has an article about it.
Billybob also posted a sneak peek of it yesterday on the official blog.

But thanks to some guys on the Miniclip forums, I got my hands on the actual catalogs! Here are some pictures.
This is the front cover of the furniture catalog.
Plants are back.
There are some cool new garden furniture too.
There’s also a new CCTV camera!
This is the cover of the igloo catalog.
There’s some new fake grass flooring.
There’s a new type of igloo too. I’d say you’d need to buy the fake grass first to get the lawn.
If you want to see them for yourself, just follow these links:

Igloo Catalog
There’s also one last sneak peek Billybob posted yesterday. It’s a sketch of the new mission. You’re looking at Club Penguin from the Ice Berg. But you’re facing the Lighthouse, which is on the other side of the island.

In other news: I was on my friends account on Poptropica today. We went to the bad future & discovered something weird: it has turned orange! If you look at the post below, you’ll notice it was green.

Tip: Does a picture on my blog look too small? Try clicking it.
That’s all for now, I’ll keep you updated.

Time Tangled Island!
Time Tangled Island (formerly knows as Time Twisted Island, or Time Lapse Island) has been released! Sorry I’m a bit late, but I didn’t have time to post about it last night.
![]()
Now, before you jump into this level, I must warn you. I’ve made this mistake & I don’t want others to be as annoyed as me. You cannot complete your map unless you do this.

Before you even try to fix the past, go to the future. To charge up the future machine, go into the lab & go over to the future machine. Now go to the left. No, don’t go up the way you came down. Go down that hidden path. You will find a giant plug you have to push. When you charge it up, go into the future machine.
You have been transported to a smelly wasteland. Yeah, not much to do here… But be grateful, at least now you have a chance of completing your map.
For the unlucky few who have already done the island’s quest, but have not gone to the bad future & still have a blank space on your map, don’t lose hope yet. Nate, an illustrator for Poptropica, believes there is a way to go to the bad future, even if you’ve fixed the past. He didn’t design that part, so he doesn’t know how, but I asked if he could try to find out how.
I used my sister’s first account (for some reason it’s turned into a boy… that’s why she made a new one) to see what the bad future looks like. It’s like I just walked into a bin. Here’s a picture:

Definitely one of my favourite rooms.
Ok, now you can start it. Or you could finish reading the post…
You decided to stay?
This new island is crazy. It’s definatly one of the best so far.

You can go back in time & help famous people, like Leonardo Da Vince & George Washington. I don’t wanna spoil the surprise, but here’s one of the items you have to give to someone:

There are also some cool puzzles to do too.
You can go to cool places like the peak of Mount Everest, or even Timbuktu Inn (I don’t think the last one is a real place though).

You can use some of Thomas Edison’s inventions in one time period.
The item you need to give to him can be used. You can hear his actual voice, it’s him singing Mary Had A Little Lamb. Read up about it, I find it facinating.

You can ride a bike too. It will help you get the item hidden in that level.
I can’t fit all of this quest into one post. Go check it out for yourself to get the full experience. Actually, I’m re-thinking about the quest guide I might be writing. This quest was way too long… Just comment if you need any help. But try to be as exact as possible. Thanks.
When you complete the past missions, you have to travel to the future to make sure you fixed it. It’s pretty cool.

You have to go to the very top of the city to get to your future home. You have to travel by a bus-type thing & even a hover pad.

Then when you get to your future house, you meet yourself! He gives you that island’s medallion.

I’ll post if I find a way to complete your map if you’ve already fixed the past. I have a feeling Nate was mistaken though…
In other news: Exactly a year ago today, I joined Club Penguin. I’m wearing my original outfit to celebrate. Even though I didn’t look like this back then, this was my original outfit I wore for most of my time as a non-member. I didn’t get any buddy requests (yay) when I was wearing this. It just goes to show what membership can do…

That’s all for now, I’ll keep you updated!

Annoying News
Warning: This is not an April Fools joke. Or is it?
The advertising arcades around Poptropica have been removed, & the original Arcade (a multiplayer room) has been returned to Early Poptropica.
Now, you guys might be thinking ‘So what, two cheesy buildings are gone?’. That’s not all that has disappeared. If you played the games inside these arcades, you would have gotten a special suit. The special suits are gone. Dun dun dun!
Yup, that’s right. No more jetpacking in Shark Tooth, no more falling off skyscrapers & landing on the grounds softly, no more spacemen wandering around.
I’ve e-mailed Nate Greenwall (one of the illustrators for Poptropica), but he doesn’t want me to publish his response. He never said anything about my e-mail though, so I think it’s safe to tell you about my idea. If they removed the logos of the product & then gave us back the costumes. (I mean seriously, who has ‘YOGOS’ on a spacesuit?)
So don’t lose hope, you may have your Propeller Cap yet! But in the mean time, look at these cool sneak peeks I got my hands on!
Here’s what Nate has to say about those Red & Yellow faces in the top right hand corner of the screen:
“We all want to have friends right? Well, sometime in the future, we hope to allow users to be able to collect and add friends, so this will be a button to have access to your friends. Now don’t ask me when this will happen, because I can’t tell you. But is will be cool.”
If you’ve looked at the Poptropica map, you might have noticed the two other Islands that aren’t available yet. One is called Time Twisted Island. Well, this one is going to be available sometime in April. Here are some pictures I got, these were deleted from Nate’s blog, so it’s lucky I saved them.

This image isn’t that special because you can see it on Poptropica while climbing up/down ropes, but I thought I’d post it anyway.

There’s also a Roman soldier on top of some building in Shark Tooth. Weird.

I don’t even know if this room will be used, but it looks cool.
Now let’s look on some happier times, times when we had space suits & hover suits…

I miss my suits.. that made me feel even worse! This sucks.

In other news: An ad for Alvin & the Chipmunks appears when walking from one room to the other. Great, no suits & annoying chipmunks. I’m starting to take back the remark I made about these ads in this game’s review.

Poptropica
I have decided to post some cool online games I found a while ago. I’m going to post one every day. I guess I’ll start with my favourite.
This is also a new game I will be blogging about. (Watch out Club Penguin!) I know I mostly post about Club Penguin, but I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again: this is not a Club Penguin Only blog. If you’ve been here a while, you might remember when I used to post about other things. If you haven’t, try looking around the archive.
Ok, I’m finished now.
Name: Poptropica
Website: Click here!
Notes:
- You control a costomized avatar & use the mouse to point in the direction you want to jump/walk/roll/crouch (it depends on the position of the mouse pointer). You can get certain upgrades (like a jetpack, for instance) which will change the way you move. For example, if you wear a jetpack, you fly instead of jumping, & if you use a flying hat you fall slower.
- In Poptropica you can help people by doing certain missions. There is one mission per island, & there are 2 islands at the moment; Shark Tooth & Early Poptropica. These missions are a bit like puzzles. You have to collect certain objects & use them to get past the next obstacle. It’s hard to explain, I’m making a guide later.
- There are certain chat rooms in Poptropica. You can’t really say anything. You just click on someone to either ask them a question or challenge them to a game. If you click ‘chat’, 3 random questions appear. Pick which one you like the most & wait for the other person to reply. They get 3 answers & they pick the one they like the best. Not the best chat system ever… If you pick ‘battle’, you can challenge them to either a basketball match, a sudoku match or a sky dive match. In the basketball game, you have to throw a basketball into the hoop 5 times before the opponent does. The hoop moves each time someone scores. In the sudoku match, you have to finish the sudoku puzzle before the other player. You can play this game by yourself too. In the sky dive game, you have to be the first to land on the ground safely. Falling makes you go fast, but if you don’t open your parachute in time you go through the ground. Don’t open the parachute too soon of else the opponent might reach the ground first.
- Poptropica doesn’t have membership (yet) so instead they advertise in-game. It’s a lot better than flashing ads lagging the game & annoying pop-ups (luckily I use Firefox so I don’t get any pop-ups anyway). To advertise they make a new ‘arcade’ room based on the product they’re advertising. There’s an arcade game in there, again based on the product. If you win, you get a cool free costume with the products logo on it. Normally these costumes have an upgrade. They also have some NPCs (non-playing characters) in there. If you talk to them, the questions that appear over your head have something to do with the product, normally something you wouldn’t say & that sounds very cheesy. Here’s one I made up:
You: What’s the best bit about Metal Bites™?
NPC: The crunch you get when you munch!!!!!!!!
I don’t usually talk to them much. They freak me out. - There are 6 minigames at the moment:
Sky Dive (Mulitplayer)
Hoops (Multiplayer)
Switch (Singleplayer)
Sudoku (Singleplayer & Multiplayer)
Space Billards (Singleplayer)
The Quest for Dark Berry Loops™ (Singleplayer)
Clue for tomorrow’s game: It begins with D.
My thoughts: If you have any questions, feel free to ask them, I’ve been reading about Poptropica’s past (it took about a second, it just got out of beta) & I know how to do all the missions. Oh, & one last tip: winning mingames increases your stats. Loosing decreases it. You don’t have to be fair when playing, if the odds look grim, just quit before you loose half a star.
Well, that’s it for today.

Edit: If you wanna talk about Poptropica with other fans, please check out our Poptropica Discussion Page.
