AQ Worlds

Sorry I haven’t posted lately.

Before I begin, let me thank Spurs for telling me about this game.
The game is called AdventureQuest Worlds. It’s a new MMO that’s just after coming out of Beta. There are a few glitches, but nothing too big.

You’re able to fight monsters to gain Experience points, Reputation points and, of course, gold. You can spend the gold on new weapons, weapon upgrades (when your level increases) armour, helmets, and other things.

There are also quests you can do. Find a NPC and click the ‘!’ above their head to see if they have one for you. Completing quests gets you XP/REP points, lots of gold, and for some of the bigger quests, different rewards such as armour or pets.

You can buy membership on it too, which lets you buy special armour, cool pets and other awesome stuff. Members also get to chat. Non-members will be able to chat eventually, but right now the servers are too weak to handle it, and they don’t have enough mods to control everyone yet. You also get Member Coins when you buy membership, which you can spend on ultra-rare items. I’d save my coins up though – I’ve heard a rumor that you will be able to buy space upgrades later.

I don’t have anything bad to say about the game, other than the space. You’re only allowed up to 20 items in your inventory, which is really irritating for someone like me who wants to collect everything.

Try it out for yourself! It’s really fun. My favourite item is the Giant Lollipop.

That’s all for now!

PS: I wrote a Mission 9 guide on my Club Penguin Mission Guide page, in case any of you are interested.

Moshi Monsters

Ok, this isn’t really a game review, but  I’d like to tell you guys about a cool game called Moshi Monsters.

Please click here to sign up. For every person who signs up using that link I get 30 coins. 🙂

In Moshi Monsters, you get to adopt a monster & care for it. You can buy stuff too, such as furniture for your house, disgusting food to keep your monster’s health up, or clothes for your monster. There aren’t many games to play right now, but you start off with quite a bit of money.

You can also attract Moshlings (pets for your monster) by planting flowers in your garden. If you want some flower combinations just ask. 🙂

You can make friends with other monsters to make your Friends Tree get bigger, and leave messages on their notice boards so you can keep in touch.

There are a lot of other fun things to do that I ahven’t listed. Why not find out for yourself and sign up?

Don’t forget to read the Poptropica post and Dragon Cave Update below this too!

That’s all for now!

Download Day 2008

Download Day

Wanna help set a world record? Firefox are trying to set the record of most software downloads in 24 hours. All you have to do is download Firefox 3 on Download Day. (The date is yet to be announced.) You can also take a pledge & increase the country you live in’s number on pledges on the map at the home page.

Click here to go to the official site for Download Day 2008.

You can get updates on Download Day by entering your e-mail while pledging. (Don’t worry, it’s entirely optional.)

Remember: Don’t download Firefox 3 till Download Day or your help will be wasted.

If you have a website you can add cool widgets to it by clicking here. Just copy & paste the HTML under your favourite widget onto your site.

In other news: I haven’t updated about the new catalog on Club Penguin because a moderator banned me for no apparent reason & didn’t tell me why, so I’m not even bothering to use my spare penguin at the moment. I’ll probably post about it sometime tomorrow when I’m unbanned.

That’s all for now! 😉

I know I haven’t been doing game reviews lately, but I just found a new game & wanted to share it with you guys.

Name: Panfu

Website: Click here!

  • To move, click on the spot you want to walk to & your panda will go there. You can also wave, sit, use animated emoticons (which make sounds too) & throw water balloons. It’s a bit like Club Penguin, but you’ll grow to like this game after a while.
  • Some words like Club Penguin & Runescape are blocked for some reason, so I don’t recommend using them in case you get muted.
  • There are lots of fun games to play hidden around Panfu. Have you found them all?
  • You get your own tree house, but you can’t customise it without paying for a Gold Package.
  • If you buy a Gold Package you can buy clothes for your panda to wear. There is a wide variety of clothes to choose from.
  • There’s a new event every day! Check the notice board under the game screen to keep up-to-date on what’s going on.

My thoughts:

This game does need some getting used to. I remember at the start I was really angry about them “copying CP”. But it gets fun after a while, & I find myself already addicted. 😛

Important: There is also a Panfu forum. I’m a moderator there. It’s just starting off, but it’d be great if you joined! Click here to go to it. Remember to read the rules! 😉

That’s all for now, I’ll keep you updated.

While surfing the net looking for things to do now that CP’s down for most of the day, I found a thing called Bubs.

Bubs is this alien that mimics everything he sees. When he mimicked everything on his home planet, he flies to Earth to find more things to mimic. Then he meets a guy called Nick & they become friends. Nick points out objects & Bubs mimics them.

What actually happened was a guy called Nick was in math class doodling on a worksheet. He drew a fat thing with an antenna on it’s head. He asked his girlfriend Laura what he should call it & she suggested ‘Bubs’ & the name stuck.

Here’s the doodle:

He then created a website for Bubs & made a story to go with him. He also created loads of different pictures of Bubs mimicking something. You’re able to put them on your site by copying the HTML under the Bubs of your choice.

Here’s the Bubs I adopted:

I put him on my sidebar, with my useless blob & other things that I don’t have anywhere else to put.

I adopted the original, but there are loads more you can adopt for your site. There’s everything from the Simpsons to Halo 2. You can also suggest other things for Bubs to mimic, but it costs money, so I wouldn’t do it unless you really want a certain Bubs. 🙄
There’s all this & more on the website. Click here to go to it.

This isn’t the best game ever, but I thought I’d write about it anyway. You have to download a special Roblox browser to play.

Name: Roblox

Website: Click here!

  • To move, you can click the spot you want to move to (as long as you don’t have a special move equipped) or you use the directional keys.
  • There are special moves at the bottom of the screen you can use; it depends where you are. Sometimes you can fly, sometimes you can re-spawn (kill yourself), sometimes you can launch rockets, but most of the time it’s the usual ones (delete block, move block, copy block). Oh, did I forget to mention this place is made out of lego? Well, it’s actually made of of roblox, but they are practically the same thing.
  • You can make your own world from scratch, or you can build onto the ready-made house you get when you join. You can also explore other people’s world.
  • You can join the Builder’s Club (it’s like membership), but honestly, don’t waste your money. You get 10 worlds you can build on instead of one, & you get more money per day (so you can buy things quicker).
  • You can make a customised shirt by uploading a picture.
  • You’re able to drive vehicles, but don’t ask me how – I still don’t know. This game is so confusing.

That’s really it…

Clue for tomorrow’s game: I don’t know yet, my e-mail hasn’t arrived. I might have to put tomorrow’s review off. From what I’ve read about, you can make a city… or something like that. You also have a TV for a head!

My thoughts:

This game is very bad, but it’s still only in public alpha. Maybe in time it will become better & less glitchy, & maybe even easier to understand. But right now, it sucks.
Tip: When you are making a customised shirt, don’t upload a picture from Club Penguin; they will give you an infraction or a warning. (They don’t want you advertising the competition I presume.)
